As Partner, Richard offers over three decades of financial services experience and focuses on wealth planning and money management for executives, business owners and entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals of all backgrounds.
Richard started his investment career at Deloitte and Touche in Cleveland, Ohio in 1987, focusing on auditing pension and endowment plans. He moved his practice to San Diego in 2003 and most recently served as Managing Director – Wealth Management and Senior Portfolio Manager in Franklin, TN, with UBS for 14 years. He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist®.
Richard and his team have been featured in various articles in publications such as On Wall Street, Investment News, and Bank Investment Consultant. He has also had a number of appearances on CNBC. In addition, from 2012 to 2014, Richard served on the UBS FA Advisory Council, which is a select group of 14 advisors chosen to represent the 7,000 UBS advisors in the United States. The council focused on helping UBS’ Executive Committee shape the firm’s wealth management strategies.
Richard is a graduate of John Carroll University, where he earned a B.S./B.A. in accounting in 1985. He spearheads a quarterly CEO Roundtable aiming to assist local entrepreneurs in reaching their goals, along with pre-sale planning. He is also the past President of the American Diabetes Association (Cleveland Chapter) and currently sits on the board of Leipers Fork Helping Hands. Richard enjoys working out, golf, travel, the outdoors, and spending time with his family.
